Awards and Press

I’ve never been someone who chased awards or media attention. My focus has always been on doing the best quality work no matter what the project. I have worked with organizations that looked to apply for formal protection for my ideas or put the resulting work in front of the kind of folks that give out awards or write stories. The results are below. What I appreciated the most about this kind of attention was the joy it brought to my parents, serving as tangible proof that their sacrifices had been worth it. I always thanked them in any interview I did but this was mostly ignored by the writer. So I’ll do it here, thanks, Mom and Dad.

My foray into the media world sprang from desperation, though not my own. Chrysler’s PR team needed an angle to promote my radical new sedans that were  going to be launched at the North American Auto Show. They told me they didn’t know what to do due to my cars being the third of the new cab-forward designs to launch. “This car does more new things from a design standpoint, than any other Chrysler since the AirFlow. Sell the design”, I told them. They came back and told me I was going to be part of the team who would present the cars to the press at the show. Three decades later, my work continues to garner attention.
